Laureen
J. Keen is a principal at
Geiger, Coon & Keen LLP who
practices in the area of Public Agency Law, Estate Planning and
Probate, Business Law and Family Law. Ms.
Keen has been practicing law for over 15
years. Prior to that, she was in data
processing management with Sun-Diamond Grower's of California in
Pleasanton, California and Ford Motor Company at its World
Headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.
Ms. Keen
is a member of the State Bar of California and the San
Joaquin County Bar where she serves on
the Judicial Liaison Committee and the Family Law Executive Committee.
She also served on the Women Lawyers Executive Committee for 15 years,
two as President.
Ms.
Keen earned her Juris Doctor with great distinction from the McGeorge
School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1989. She is a member
of the Traynor Honor Society, Order of the Coif; she received
the Corpus Juris Secundum Award, Hornbook Award and American
Jurisprudence Awards in Constitutional Law, Evidence, Agency Law, Land
Finance Law and Criminal Law. Her undergraduate degree in
Political Science was received with honors from Michigan State
University. Her
current Martindale-Hubbell Rating is BV.
Outside
of the office, Ms. Keen enjoys
her family, gardening, attending
sporting events and traveling to visit her daughter who is in law school
at the University of Notre Dame. She
is a member of the Consuelo M. Callahan Inns of Court.
